The Honda CR-V remains a great option for shoppers in search of a small, compact crossover SUV with plenty of personality and style. Honda’s 2020 CR-V also receives a variety of updates for the model year, including more standard driver safety features and revised exterior styling. Honda has also made the turbocharged 1.5-litre engine, which was optional last year, standard across the 2020 CR-V lineup. Like for 2019, the 2020 Honda CR-V is available in four trims, including the LX, EX, EX-L and Touring. That said, what are the key differences between the crossover SUV's middle trims, the EX vs. EX-L?
Both models have the same engine, a continuously variable transmission and standard front-wheel drive with the option of all-wheel drive. That said, the most distinct difference between the two models are the features available.
The 2020 Honda CR-V EX carries over all the technologies from the base LX model, which includes the Honda Sensing suite of advanced driver safety aids. The 2020 Honda CR-V EX adds a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, push-button start with keyless entry, blind-spot monitoring, a sunroof and heated front seats. Moving up to the EX-L trim carries over all the features from the EX and adds leather upholstery, an eight-speaker audio system and a power liftgate.
