Available in four trims, Sport, EX-L, Touring, and Black Edition, the 2022 Honda Ridgeline comes equipped with a powerful 3.5L i-VTEC® V6 engine that we also see in the 2022 Honda Pilot three-row SUV. This V6 makes 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque and is mated with a 9-speed automatic transmission with Grade Logic Control.

The 2022 Ridgeline boasts Honda’s Intelligent Variable Torque Management (i-VTM4™) AWD system as standard across all trims, along with Intelligent Traction Management System, which offers superior traction over snow, sand, and mud. It also comes pre-wired for trailer brake control and is wired for a 7-pin trailer connector, ideal for towing.

With the powerful V6 engine and the above standard features at its helm, the 2022 Honda Ridgeline offers a maximum towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds or roughly 2,267 kilograms. This means you can easily tow anything from a small fishing boat to a camper trailer on your next off-road adventure.

Payload Capacity

When it comes to the payload, the Ridgeline comes with a 5’4”x4’2” cargo bed which is 1625 mm long and 1270 mm wide between the wheel wells. The cargo bed is 425 mm or roughly 1’4” deep. These dimensions give the Ridgeline an in-bed trunk capacity of 207 litres. However, you can carry a maximum payload of up to 1,530 pounds or 694 kilograms in addition to the 5,000 pound/2,267 kilograms towing weight. The sizeable cargo bed and incredible payload capacity allow you to haul a lot of cargo or even a couple of ATVs on the Ridgeline’s back.
