How do I replace the windshield wipers on my vehicle?

As you are driving down the road, have you noticed that when you turn on your windshield wipers, they leave smudges? If so, it is time to replace your windshield wipers. If this leaves you questioning, “How do I replace the windshield wipers on my vehicle?” you have come to the right place!

Steps to replace your windshield wipers

  1. Check your owner’s manual for the size and type of wiper blade your vehicle uses and purchase the appropriate blade.
  2. Unlatch the current wiper blade. There could be a button that you push or you pinch and pull the wiper blade off. Make sure that you wrap the arm in something so that it does not scratch your windshield.
  3. Remove the plastic cover from the new blade and put it rubber side down on the windshield.
  4. Latch the new blade onto the arm. Simply reverse when you did in step 2.
